In enterprise IT networks, a single router or switch failure can cascade across multiple infrastructure layers. Standard relational databases require deep SQL JOINs or recursive CTEs, leading to high query latency during active outages.
This project implements a Neo4j Graph Database model that maps network devices, servers, applications, and support teams with index-free adjacency, enabling sub-millisecond blast-radius calculations and automated incident routing.
- Nodes:
Device,Server,Application,Location,Team,Incident - Relationships:
CONNECTED_TO,HOSTS,DEPENDS_ON,LOCATED_IN,MANAGES,AFFECTS
- Real-time Blast Radius Calculation: Identifies all downstream applications and SLAs impacted by a node failure up to N-hops away.
- Shortest Network Path Analysis: Calculates routing pathways across multi-region data centers.
- Automated Incident Escalation: Maps P1 incidents directly to impacted business applications and responsible support leads.
- Database: Neo4j AuraDB / Cypher Language
- Graph Visualization: Neo4j Workspace
