What

  • Add string session_summary = 11 to MetricsRecordingHeader: a JSON object of session facts, at most 16 KiB.
  • Patch changeset for github.com/livekit/protocol and @livekit/protocol.

Why

Agent evals choose which sessions to score from facts the SDK knows at upload time (agent name, tags, duration, user turns, usage). One JSON field means a new fact needs only an SDK change and an agent-evals change, not another protocol release.

How

  • The collector stores the summary in recording_index.metadata without reading individual keys.
  • The key contract is a JSON Schema in livekit/cloud-protocol (evalschema/session-summary.schema.json).

Depends on

Nothing. The cloud-observability and SDK PRs depend on this one.
