This repository hosts public writings by Daniel Burger: essays, papers, patents, and books. Everything is written in LaTeX. Documents stored directly in this repository use the shared template system in _templates/. See _templates/README.md for template documentation.
Contributions welcome — these are living documents, continuously updated post-publication.
Track only approved public material and generic templates. Unreleased manuscripts, research notes and private repository metadata stay outside public Git history. Ignored local directories may coexist with this checkout, but must not be added as private submodules or gitlinks. Ignore rules reduce accidental staging; they do not protect files already tracked or deliberately force-added.
New releases require explicit approval of the content and destination. Follow the approved-snapshot release workflow before changing the publication allowlist, committing or pushing. Preserve the private originals and their local state throughout.

.agents/skills/<skill-name>/SKILL.md. Native discovery depends on the agent,
working directory and configuration. Agents without native skill discovery can
read skill files explicitly, subject to trust and security restrictions; see
integration notes.
No patent applications are published here yet. 001_patents/ currently holds only a template example.
Unlike essays and papers, patent drafts must remain confidential before filing. Real applications will stay in private repositories (or local-only) until a provisional patent is filed and counsel clears public disclosure. Only then can they be promoted into this public repository.
