Proposed changes

Bumps @react-native-community/datetimepicker 9.1.0 → 9.2.1 and @react-native-community/slider 5.2.0 → 5.2.1, the versions Expo SDK 58 pins, so they land ahead of the React Native 0.88 / Expo 58 upgrade.

Neither changelog has a breaking change:

  • datetimepicker 9.2.0: Android inner time picker text color, iOS Flow prop type fix, config plugins resolved through Expo. 9.2.1: Android picker reopens when design changes, Kotlin plugin skipped when AGP ships built-in Kotlin, DateTimePickerAndroid.dismiss typing.
  • slider 5.2.1: fixes the thumb image not rendering on iOS with React Native 0.84+.

The datetimepicker Expo config plugin is not added to app.json; the app doesn't need it.

How to test or reproduce

Date picker:

  1. Status → Clear after → Custom: the date picker opens; pick a date (and time on Android), then Confirm. The chosen date and time show in the Clear after row.
  2. A UIKit message with a datepicker section accessory: tap "Select a date", pick a day. iOS highlights the picked day in the inline calendar; on Android, reopening the dialog shows the picked day selected.

Slider: nothing in app/ imports it (the audio seek bar is built on gesture-handler and reanimated). It is only autolinked natively, so check that both platforms build and the app launches.

Types of changes

  • Bugfix (non-breaking change which fixes an issue)
  • Improvement (non-breaking change which improves a current function)
  • New feature (non-breaking change which adds functionality)
  • Documentation update (if none of the other choices apply)

Checklist

  • I have read the CONTRIBUTING doc
  • I have signed the CLA
  • Lint and unit tests pass locally with my changes
  • I have added tests that prove my fix is effective or that my feature works (if applicable)
  • I have added necessary documentation (if applicable)
  • Any dependent changes have been merged and published in downstream modules

Further comments

@react-native-community/slider has no JS usage in the app. Removing it could be a follow-up.

On iOS, the Status → Clear after → Set date and time sheet opens too short: only the first calendar week shows and Confirm is off screen. This already happens on develop: the iOS native code and iOS JS of the package are identical between 9.1.0 and 9.2.1.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Chores
    • Updated supporting components used by the app. No changes to screens, workflows, or other user-facing features are reported in this update. The release does not add or remove any visible capabilities, and no change to the app’s behavior is described.

The lockfile already resolves @react-native-community/slider to 5.2.1.

The frozen-install failure described in the comment does not apply.

Walkthrough

Two pinned React Native community package versions changed in package.json: the datetime picker moved to 9.2.1, and the slider moved to 5.2.1. The hooks and netinfo dependency versions remain unchanged.

Explanation

The title names the two dependency bumps the PR makes: @react-native-community/datetimepicker from 9.1.0 to 9.2.1 and @react-native-community/slider from 5.2.0 to 5.2.1. The raw summary confirms these are the only changes in package.json, so the title matches the main change. It is specific, concise, and not vague.
