At least the outputs are already coming with 2026.5 — see the beta release notes: https://rc.home-assistant.io/blog/2026/04/29/release-20265/#noteworthy-improvements-to-existing-integrations However, for practical usability, you’ll still need to wait for Protect 7.1. Inputs are also planned. At the moment, I can’t give a reliable forecast for that; the earliest would be 2026.6. |

That is great news as I recently installed two USL-Relay devices for the gate and garage door. All SuperLink devices show up in the protect integration, except the USL-Relay devices. I gave the account SuperAdmin rights to test if it is access rights related, but still no luck. I am currently not interested in the input channels, just the output channels. BTW, The USL Siren is also not showing up in the device list. |

What is the status of the integration of the two relay inputs? Is integration planned? Thanks, Andreas |

Correct part number USL-Relay |

Just here to chime in that we really need good relay integration. Protect integration currently exposes the USL-Relay output channels (O1 / O2) as basic switch entities. Unifi dashboard supports granular output configurations and dry-contact switch/sensor inputs (S1 and S2) that are not yet exposed as native Home Assistant entities. This request proposes adding full entity coverage for the USL-Relay:

@igoraugustynski, @RaHehl Thanks for the great Integration of the relay input. The integration works fine so far, but I have a small problem. I used the input as garage door closed sensor. If the contact is closed means the door is closed. The display in Home Assistant is inverted for me. When the contact is closed, it's shown as open and upside down. Is this a settings issue? How to change this behavior?

I encountered the exact same issue and used the same fix.
The problem stems from Protect not correctly recognizing the NC/NO values
and configuration, as well as Ubiquiti's lack of support for the product.

Home Assistant shows the input state exactly as Protect reports it. Your
input is on while the door is closed, and with "Show as: Garage door" on
means open. To flip it, create a template binary sensor helper with {{
is_state('binary_sensor.your_input', 'off') }} and device class Garage
door.

@RaHehl <https://github.com/RaHehl> Oh wow that's so nice to have the exact
position in %
I doubt my Genie opener will support that

@anderlk <https://github.com/anderlk> The API only gives on (circuit
closed) or off (open), no NC/NO setting, so HA can't read it. The
template helper is the fix.
I asked about the opener because some report their state directly, e.g.
Hörmann via ESPHome shows the exact position in %, no reed switches needed.
