Add Input Number helpers to long term statistics #115

History stats is an integration (which supports input number), but I think you're referring to long term statistics. Let me know if I've misunderstood (renamed the topic) |

I think you renamed it the right way. thank you. Yes I saw this integration. I just don't get that to where I want it to have. I don't know what to add in the State field. And then I need to choose from the three possibilities: Time, Count, Ratio. For me all of this is not the right thing. I would like to choose "number" for state to observe, and in the drop down I would like to choose nothing because its a value from a helper. I might be too dumb to configure this the right way. I also could not find a list of allowed values for the states field to type in. Or a rule what is allowed or not. If I just could enable an input number to be in long time stats, that would be perfectly fine. |
Uh oh!

Describe your idea
I want to see the history of my input numbers. Now I need to do it with a template that mirrors the input number. So for every input number there is an additional helper to have stats.
Maybe you can add an option to the helper, a box to tick: "Add to statistics"
Why is this exciting?
This would enable to see the history of the values of the input numbers.
Potential use cases
I myself have programmed some templates for house costs as electricity, water and gas. And it would be interesting to have a history of the tariff values as they changed over the years. These values changes once a year, as of now.
Anything else?
